The Agbar Tower, not a typical Skyscraper

The Agbar Tower is the most famous skyscraper in Barcelona. It is located at the Plaza de las Glorias, has 34 floors and with its 142 metres height is the third tallest building in Barcelona.

It was inaugurated on September 16 in 2005 by the kings of Spain. This Barcelona Tower is owned by investment group Azurelau.

It was designed by architect Jean Nouvel. The slats of glass placed in different inclinations and opacities cause a play of light which changes according to the time of the day.

The lighting is the most spectacular feature of this tower. Using LED technology to illuminate the 4.500 lights independently. It can project 16 million colors and change colors to create a real spectacle at night.
