The National Art Museum of CataloniaThe National Art Museum of Catalonia is located in the National Palace of Montjuic. The National Palace is the home of the Museum since 1934. Located on the mountain of Montjuic, the museum covers all the arts (sculpture, painting, object art, drawings, prints, posters, photography collection and collection of coins) and has the mission to explain a global discourse of Catalan art from the Romanesque to the mid-twentieth century. The museum has collections of Romanesque art, Gothic art, Renaissance and Baroque Art and Modern Art. You can also find a collection of photographs. Works from the collection of Renaissance and Baroque are by great painters such as, El Greco, Velazquez and Rubens, among others. The permanent exhibitions are Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque Legacy Cambó, Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, Modern Art, Drawings, prints and posters, photography, and Numismatics. All these exhibitions contain a total of 5,900 works.

TransportMetro Lines 1 and 3 stop at station Plaza España from where you can easily access Montjuic. Bus Line 55 stops at the National Art Museum of Catalonia. Touristic Bus The touristic bus also stops at the National Art Museum of Catalonia.
